There is a very good tool available to all Canadians in the form of the Canada Benefits Finder: a federal government online resource that allows the user to plug in the appropriate personal information and the program then selects a list of benefits that the individual may be eligible for.

A Hungry Person is Not a Free Person

Food Bank Canada reported that in 2011, in Ontario alone, there were 395,106 people who were assisted through food banks and other food programs.   Broken down, there were 2246 adults and 148,219 children that were assisted monthly.

Travel Time for 2 hours of Work in Georgetown = 6 1/2 hours

The travel plan to GO alone with the GO Train and Bus to arrive in Georgetown for duty was the first plan made and a good one. This was due to the more expedient, private and familiar way of a personal vehicle, which had an unfortunate tendency, that day, to break down.
